BIG CHANGES TO THE TC250 AND TE250
THE TE310 IS COMPLETELY REVAMPED

Update: 18/06/10

The 250 cc 4-stroke motocross and enduro bikes from Husqvarna have seen major changes for 2011 model year in the design, chassis and the engine and the TE310 now features a 300cc version of the renowned ‘X-lite' 250 engine.

These models will be available from the end of July, please call us to discuss your requirtements and secure an early delivery.

TC250 2011
TC250 2011The revisions to the TC250 have been proven in the European MX2 championship, Husqvarna riders Andrea Cervellin and Jernej Irt are currently first and second respectively in the championship after 5 rounds.

The most important changes are to the engine, which is now fitted with a Mikuni batteryless electronic fuel injection system and 45 mm diameter throttle body. The engine also sees changes in the cylinder head, with revisions to camshaft profile and timing to improve power throughout the rev range.

The engine crank-case has been reinforced and now has steel sockets on chassis mounting points for improved durability. The standard fit Akrapovic exhaust pipe has been specially designed for Husqvarna and features a steel manifold, titanium silencer and steel heat protection.

The frame design is also new for 2011. The lower cradle around the footrest mounts has been completely redesigned, with side plates of forged steel to reduce lateral bulk and increase resistance to strain. This effectively creates a single plate covering the footrest and brake pedal mounts and the cradle surface has been streamlined so as to reduce to a minimum any possible impact with the ground or other obstacles. The steering head area has also been improved and reinforced.

The engine guards are now made of a new material, providing better protection against damage, wheel hubs now have a ‘mirror finish and the bodywork features new graphics which again are of IPD design (moulded into the plastic).

TE250 2011
TE250 2011Antoine Meo and Matti Seistola have tested and ridden the TE250 to victory in the first part of the 2010 world enduro championship. Now it is ready to meet the wider public in the showrooms and at enduro races throughout the world. The TE250 is without doubt the best performing and most desirable 250 cc four-stroke enduro at the present time.

The changes to the 2011 model are primarily in the chassis department, as the 2010 version engine already had a Mikuni fuel injection system.

The chassis has been redesigned and reinforced at the specific request of the official CH Racing team, with a streamlined area below the cradle preventing knocks from uneven surfaces. The area around the footrest and rear brake mountings has been improved to reduce contact with the heel and to facilitate movement by the rider on the foot pegs. A single plate covers the footrest and rear brake pump/pedal mountings.

The suspension has been optimised, with a revised setting for enduro racing, both for the Kayaba forks and the Sachs shock absorber.

To increase the racing range, the fuel tank capacity has now been increased to 8.5 litres and a new fuel pump introduced which allows 100% of the available fuel to be used.

The air box has been redesigned to improve fitment of the filter element and to improve resistance to water, the engine guards are made of a new material, providing better protection against damage and the wheel hubs now feature a ‘mirror' finish. The bodywork has new graphics, again of in mould design and the design and look of the standard fit hand guards is also new.

The power delivery at low engine speed has been improved and riders have the ability to choose between 2 different CDI map configurations through a handlebar switch – for hard or soft ground, depending on the style of riding and condition of the track.

Other engine changes include a new layout for the radiator hoses and a new exhaust silencer with new db killer and heat protection.

TE310 2011
The 2011 TE310 builds on the success of the new TE250 but offers an engine capacity increased to 302.44 cc thanks to a revised bore and stroke of 82mm x 57.3 mm.

The throttle body is the same as that fitted to the 2011 TC250 - a 45 mm Mikuni. The exhaust system is specially designed for the 310 and as on the other models has new heat protection on the silencer.

The bike is much lighter than the previous version (approx 6 kg reduction compared to 2010 TE310) and comes with significantly higher torque and power.

The TE310 chassis is based on the TE250 and as such shares all the new and standard features including the new reinforced frame, new Grimeca hubs, Kayaba 48 mm front forks and Sachs shock absorber with new settings, 8.5 litre fuel tank, new hand guards and new bodywork graphics.
